Network War: ABS-CBN’s new witness is a disgruntled terminated RGMA employee

Ex-RGMA employee turns ABS-CBN informant; GMA-7 denies allegations (PEP)

GMA Network strongly denies the accusations made by Mr. Donard Duane L. Nojas that RGMA Bacolod hired ABS-CBN’s informant Toto Aliguin or anyone to look for panel homes in Bacolod City and that it conducted special operations to increase its ratings. These accusations come from a disgruntled former employee of RGMA. Nojas, a former Program Director of RGMA-AM Bacolod, was terminated (on March 20, 2007) … for violation of company policies, serious misconduct, gross neglect of duty, and loss of confidence.”

GMA-7 also said that Nojas was found guilty of sexual harassment during his stint as program director. In addition, he was also discovered to have anchored for a rival station, a clear breach of company policies.

One would think that ABS-CBN could do better, but that’s giving them too much credit at this point. ABS-CBN News has lost all credibility with me. This “witness” will not hold up in court, and this an orchestrated smear campaign to discredit AGB Nielsen. TV Patrol is passing this hearsay account as news and fact.

So wait, when was the cheating done according to ABS-CBN’s own case versus AGB? July to September 2007
When was Donard Duane L. Nojas fired? March 20, 2007

Ang tanga.

Raymond Gutierrez is new host of Pinoy Idol

Raymond Gutierrez is new host of Pinoy Idol (GMA News)

Raymond’s new hosting job on GMA-7 was formally announced yesterday, January 20, at Showbiz Central. The twin brother of Richard Gutierrez was chosen by GMA-7 to host the most-awaited Philippine franchise of the world’s number one singing competition dubbed as Pinoy Idol.

Sitting as judges of Pinoy Idol are singer/composer/comedian Ogie Alcasid, multimedia artist Jolina Magdangal, and talent manager Wyngard Tracy. It can be recalled that Ryan Cayabyab, Francis Magalona, and Pilita Corrales were the judges in Philippine Idol.

Pinoy Idol has already started its audition in Cagayan de Oro City last week and will scour the entire Philippines until March to find the first Pinoy Idol.

I’m excited! Unfortunately, it looks like they will not show Pinoy Idol on GMA PinoyTV. I hope they can work it out. There are a lot of Filipinos around the world who are interested in this. (Plus, I can’t pimp anyone effectively if I can’t see this live… waaaa.)
